How To’s

Grooming Tip Of The Week

As men, we like to make sure our face is always looking good. When you look good you feel good and women love that in a man. But sometimes after a shave or haircut, you may get the dreaded bump or two, or maybe even several. If you are like me you can’t stand having those. The good news is that I may have a solution to your problems.

Two words…(Tea Tree ) which is something that has been around since the beginning of time. It’s an antiseptic plant found in Australia. This plant has the power to heal wounds fast without any type of chemicals. It can treat a number of things but for us guy’s I’ll break it down just for us.

Tea Tree oil when used properly can help with:

Fungus aka Athletes Foot

Acne

Bacterial Infection (like small cuts, insect bites, cold sores)

Sunburns

Bad breath

Just to name a few… So what I do after every shave and/or haircut I grab a q-tip and place a few drops on the cotton head. Then I just rub around the area on my face or hairline that’s given me issues. Usually, after a day or two, the bumps are gone or going away. Now I must warn you that this stuff is strong, now while it can’t burn you the smell is very noticeable. So get ready to get kicked out of the bed. If you have sensitive skin, I would suggest diluting with pure coconut oil (organic-raw).  You’re going to have to figure out what’s best for you.

Please leave comments I would love to hear from you guy’s about this.

“I Hate Monday’s” Tip of the day….

What are you doing to get your name out there? How are you branding yourself? Well let’s assume that you are on some type of social media platform already. So there are so many that you can choose from, so here is my type five.

#1.) Facebook: Not only is this a platform for pointless non-sense but Facebook can get you noticed real fast. Facebook has everything from PPC, ads, events that you can promote and pages created by you or a business that you have.

#2.) Twitter: Short and to the point, Twitter allows you to say something when you don’t have time to blog.

#3.) LinkedIn: LinkedIn is probably my favorite platform by far because it allows me to connect with business minded people, each and every day.

#4.) Google+: This platform is sort of like a combination of all three above, it’s still kind of new in the social media world but that means that you can use this to your advantage.

#5.) YouTube: Right now, YouTube is the most used platform in the world by far. It’s even more popular than Facebook in some aspects. I mainly use it for reference and self-education but I plan on expanding my personal brand in the near future with Youtube.

There is also Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, Vine, Snapchat, Reddit, Flickr, Periscope, Medium and Foursquare just to name a few. Now my top five are very good but this is about you and your needs. Start with one to test it out, you can also start a blog too. Blogging will get you noticed as well but if you use just one of those platforms you’ll be a branding machine. By the way, if you are reading this, then you just received proof that it works.

How Do You Deal With Stress?

Everyone has their own way of dealing with stress, so what’s yours? Do you let your stress affect the place where your work? Do you bring stress from work to your home? Is stress stopping you from wanting to do more with your life? The point is that if you let stress take over your well being then, yes it will consume you and anyone that is around you. I pretty sure you have heard that a single person can light up a whole room, maybe you know someone like that. So when we start stressing about bills, work, relationships it sends a negative energy that can sometimes be as strong as positive energy, if you let it.

What you have to understand is that everything runs on some type of energy. Your energy towards life will dictate how you progress. Listen, there is one thing that you must always do, each and every day and that is absolutely nothing. That’s right, take a few minutes out of your day and evaluate what you’re ultimate goal is. Goals keep you positive and gives you a sense of direction. Cause it’s very easy to lose focus when things get tough. Just remember, stress is just energy that’s all. You can’t destroy it but you can control it. Take for example a fire, if you let that fire keep burning, it’s going to get bigger and hotter. A fire can get so hot that water seems to have no effect at all and it can take hours sometimes for it to be controlled. So don’t become that out of control fire.
